DECEMBER 2025

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Ruth’s life fell apart in a series of devastating losses.

First, her husband died. Then, her security and her future in her homeland vanished. She stood at a crossroads, with her mother-in-law, Naomi, urging her to go back to the familiar. But Ruth made a breathtaking choice. She chose the unknown. She chose to leave everything, her gods, her family, her culture, to follow Naomi and her God to a foreign land.

Her "reset" was a journey into uncertainty, starting with the humbling work of gleaning in a stranger's fields to secure a single meal. She didn't know Boaz was waiting in the wings. She didn't know she would become a grandmother to a king, a direct ancestor of Jesus.

All she had was her fierce loyalty and a stubborn faith to take the next right step, even when the future was a frightening blur.

God didn't just give Ruth a new chapter, He rewrote her entire story into His epic of redemption. Her reset began not with a plan, but with God Himself.

HOW ABOUT YOU?

Are you facing a "reset" you never asked for? A lost job, a broken relationship, a move you didn't plan? It's scary to leave the familiar, even when it's broken, for an unknown future. But Ruth’s story reminds us that God specializes in new beginnings. Your story isn't over. Your reset is the very place God is setting the stage for a future you can't yet imagine. Your next right step of faith, no matter how small, is the one that leads you into His plan.

PRAYER:

God, in the middle of my uncertainty, give me Ruth's courage. When I'm clinging to what's left of my old life, give me the faith to let go and follow You into the unknown. I trust that You are leading me, and that my future, even when I can't see it, is safe in Your hands. Amen.
